Catfish Corner Express - Seattle
Catfish Corner Express
Menu
The place from Seattle offers 30 different dishes and drinks on the menu at an average price of $7.6.
Catfish Corner has recently undergone ownership changes, leading to significant dissatisfaction among patrons. Despite the familiar name, the new management has failed to replicate the original's beloved recipes, resulting in disappointing dishes and poor customer service. Many reviews emphasize the lack of seasoning and quality, especially in popular items like lobster mac and cheese. While some menu items received moderate praise, such as the catfish and cornbread, the overall experience has left many longing for the authentic flavors of the original establishment. Diners are encouraged to visit the true Catfish Corner on Jackson Street for an authentic dining experience.

Was Jovonneb “jovonneb” at Catfish Corner Express a mag?
I had higher expectations for the catfish, as I was hoping it would be more flavorful. However, the greens were quite good, and the cornbread reminded me more of corn cake. The hush puppies were just average. They might overlook some items, so it's a good idea to double-check your order. The staff was polite, though. View all feedback.
What Meghan G dislikes about Catfish Corner Express:
I ordered from here once after the ownership changed hands and agree it had gone downhill. I figured they were working out the kinks and wanted to give it another go after they had time to get their stuff together. This is not the original owner of Catfish Corner. They've purchased the name but not the recipes. If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would. They are imposters and should not be allowed to use the restaurant's name, given their terrible customer service and unappetizing food. Save yourself the disappointment and head to the original Catfish Corner on Jackson, run by the real owner. They prepare the food to perfection, and you’ll be grateful you read this review and went to 23rd and Jackson instead. Avoid eating here!!! It’s not the same owner or establishment.
This restaurant is now under new ownership, and the food just doesn’t taste the same. If you want to experience the true flavors of Catfish Corner, I recommend visiting the location on Jackson instead!
NOT A VIABLE BUSINESS. They are frequently out of the items on their menu and substitute whatever they have, blaming delivery drivers for the issues. I might have considered ordering something if I had been informed about the owner’s apparent struggles. Instead, he packed random food into boxes, likely misled the delivery driver, ignored my calls about the incorrect order (his voicemail was full, of course), and when I went to the restaurant, he lied to me and offered more of the food I didn’t want in the first place. He did give me some free mac salad and promised a refund, but I don’t expect anything to come of it. This situation could have been acceptable if he had been honest from the beginning, but it’s just poor business practice. I recommend not ordering from here unless you are physically in the restaurant and can see what you are getting.
I was stupid excited to try this place. My partner and I Door Dashed it. The lobster Mac was $15 and I wouldn't pay $3 for it. It was super over cooked. There was no seasoning at all, not even a speck of salt to be found. They listed it as 3rd party which now I understand means it's just box Velveeta shells with cheap shredded lobster tossed in at random. It's like what you would expect from a hospital cafeteria. They even forgot my baby's hush puppies so she is eating my partner's cold catfish. To the drive through I guess.

I didn't even get inside because the exterior of the place is FILTHY AND DISGUSTING. Literally, I kid you not, an old toilet sitting feet away from piles of their kitchen mats, MOUNTAINS of trash overflowing outside of their dumpster reeking the whole place up, broken chairs, trash, just everywhere in a 20' radius of their building! If you don't have respect for your storefront, I can't even imagine what the kitchen no one can see looks like. Clearly, they have no concept of cleanliness. Yuck yuck yuck!
