The restaurant is fantastic when the weather is pleasant. It appears that the menu has been revamped or updated recently, and we really enjoyed our selections. However, it can be challenging to find an outdoor table on nice days. View all feedback.
What Brett Creange dislikes about Captain Blacks:
100 year old building with Patio. No food though... $7.00 shots of Tequila my preference seem short of the line. I would suggest market a food menu with them drinks you have? Other than that keep track of your card use. Something seems suspicious here. They don 't seem to close your account after your long gone charge you.
When we moved to the patio, we found several sticky tables, and the music was gangster rap. As the only person of color in a bar full of white patrons, it felt like an odd choice of music. If you're planning to spend $12-$14 on a drink at a patio, you can definitely find a better place. And by the way, there’s no happy hour here.
I’m Canadian, and I was denied service despite the law stating that I should be allowed service. Eventually, I was kicked out for allegedly causing a “fuss.”
They have a patio at the front and an even larger one at the back that offers a lovely view.
