Great food, solid cider options, and a cool vibe make this a great spot for dinner and drinks on date night or with friends. I was in Seattle for work and...
This place is a Capitol Hill staple, but only because it's very reliable and consistent. Their cider selection is vast and mostly yummy, but some of them...
A cute pub vibe geared towards an older audience. There's always plenty of space to accommodate both small and larger parties(10+ . The drinks here are...
Cute. Totally gluten and nut free kitchen apparently (I didn't eat). Great service at bar.
A frustratingly uneven performance from a place I really want to like. This was our second visit to Capitol Cider and on the strength of the first (brunch) visit, we will definitely give it another chance after the stumble of this visit. Although the staff was charming and helpful, the timing of our meal was badly fumbled. The first round of drinks was almost 20 minutes coming ,while the first course took over 35. One of those dishes was so burnt as to nave no other flavor. The croquettes, however, were tasty. The main course followed barely 5 minutes after the first. The fish n'chips came with tepid, over salted fries, but was otherwise forgettable. My roasted pork with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts was excellent. Dessert too was a miss, my cobbler arriving both slightly charred and mostly cold. It really could have used a dollop of ice cream or whipped cream too. We didn't seem to be the only table unhappy with our experience. My assumption was that the kitchen had suffered something of a meltdown on a particularly busy night.
