Was Tom Oliver at TacoTime a mag?
Decent tacos. I've eaten here twice. First time I order a couple hard shell tacos (a discount price on tuesdays) and a larger sized crispy beef burrito. The tacos were great with the spicy salsa they provided. The crispy beef tasted bland, like I was eating pure processed american cheese, and required lots of salsa to be enjoyable. The second time I went, I got the mexifries deluxe and some soft shell tacos. The taco... View all feedback.
What Sepp Dekker dislikes about TacoTime:
Great alternative to the regular burger joints. My kids love the burritos, quesadillas, crisp beef burritios and mexi fries. My husband loves the bavarian cream burrito dessert thing. The 51st street location is the best one! View all feedback.
This place has now been open for about a month. The place was really dirty. There were lots of staff, and it was busy, but the tables and the floor were in need of a good cleaning. We were there at 2 so it was past the lunch hour.
Tremendous value for the price, and a very friendly staff. Is it super authentic mexican food? No. Is it delicious and filling? Absolutely.
I usually stay away from these places, now I know why. Food was terrible, service the same and all in all a ripoff.

The tacos were great with the spicy salsa they provided. The crispy beef tasted bland, like I was eating pure processed american cheese, and required lots of salsa to be enjoyable. The second time I went, I got the mexifries deluxe and some soft shell tacos. The tacos were great again, but the mexi fries were only decent. Too much processed cheese for me. I'd probably go back again and only get tacos and nothing else.
