Vicoletto - San Andreas
Vicoletto
Description
A recent visit to a Chinese restaurant left diners raving about the aromatic shrimp toast, delicious lo mein, and perfectly spiced shrimp dishes. The fragrant tea added to the delightful experience, ensuring a return trip in the future. However, a reservation mishap and unexpected closure dampened the spirits of another group. On the other hand, a couple celebrating their 40th anniversary had a disappointing experience at one Italian spot due to noise and service issues. In contrast, a visit to Wa Jeal for lunch was met with praise for the affordable and tasty menu, lovely ambiance, and top-notch service. An initial skepticism about another Italian restaurant turned into delight with the arrival of burrata and delectable pasta dishes. A vibrant group of women celebrating a birthday enjoyed a fabulous meal at Vicoletto with excellent food and a thoughtful gesture from the waiter. One establishment with a quiet start impressed customers with fantastic service, an exceptional wine list, and high-quality dishes, especially the signature burrata. Finally, a seafood dish impressed diners at another restaurant, while the ink-splashed pasta fell a bit short in terms of texture. Despite varying experiences, each restaurant had its own highlights and shortcomings, leaving patrons with a range of memorable dining experiences.

I recently had the opportunity to visit this restaurant, and I have to say I was quite impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, although I would have preferred it to be a bit brighter since the lighting is quite dim. The service was excellent; our food arrived faster than I expected, and our server was very friendly. I ordered the Black Squid Ink Spaghetti with Seafood, and it was delicious. I also indulged in some Tiramisu to satisfy my sweet tooth, and it was absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the place was a bit crowded.
Every entree we got was excellent but lamb was the best. Short rib pasta also very good. We loved both bottles of wine we ordered too. Great Italian selections reasonably priced!
I had the tagliatelle, which was made with pork instead of the traditional veal. Despite that, it was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. It was served with warm bread that was fantastic. This place is wonderful! Our waiter was very friendly and offered us helpful tips for getting around the city. He was also incredibly patient with a member of our group who has special needs. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.
Solid food, some dishes are better than others. Lobster ravioli is a must! The wine selection is somewhat mediocre. Wonderful focaccia bread to start. Service was a bit inattentive.
I began with the beet salad, which had a subtle hint of lime, complemented by goat cheese and walnuts—just the right size to whet my appetite before the main course. The standout dish was the lobster ravioli, filled with generous chunks of lobster and perfectly cooked prawns. The sauce was light yet flavorful, allowing the sweetness of the lobster to shine through without overpowering it. The restaurant features a nice selection of wines, and the service was attentive and friendly. The quiet ambiance created the ideal setting to savor a wonderful meal. This has undoubtedly become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the area. Absolutely superb!
