Troya - San Andreas
Troya
Description
Troya offers a mixed experience with its food and service. While some guests rave about the perfectly cooked eggplant toast and seasoned lamb skewers, others have complaints about the slow service and subpar dishes. The ambiance of the restaurant is a mixed bag as well, with some diners enjoying the quiet atmosphere perfect for a business meeting, while others find the dark, noisy room to be a turn-off. Overall, it seems Troya may have some inconsistencies to iron out to provide a consistently exceptional dining experience.

This was our 2nd visit…food, service, and atmosphere have been perfect each time.
We are never disappointed by Troya! Our first experience at their brunch was superb. The variety, portion sizes, freshness, and flavors exceeded our already high expectations.
Troya's dinner menu may be superior to its brunch offerings. The brunch menu had a mix of hits and misses, with dishes that were good but not outstanding. The chicken salad was lackluster and the eggplant dish was overwhelmed by a sauce that was too sweet. While a DJ was playing great music, it seemed more fitting for an evening atmosphere and was not fully appreciated during the day.
Excellent food, service and quiet atmosphere for our business meeting. I had the red lentil soup which came with warm pita bread. The combination was perfect for a rainy day. Flavorful, delicious and quite filling!
My niece from the East Coast, who hadn't visited San Francisco since she was a child, and I dined at Troya. I chose this restaurant because I have had positive experiences there before the COVID-19 pandemic. I had requested an outdoor table when the weather forecast was dry, and had even called a few days prior to confirm my request. However, when we arrived, it was raining, and I had forgotten to call back to change our seating preference to inside. Despite this, the staff quickly found a table for the three of us (the restaurant was full) and were understanding and accommodating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and well-lit, and I was pleased to see that the menu had been updated since my last visit. We enjoyed appetizers such as creamy baked eggplant, crispy chickpea hummus, refreshing tzatziki, and spicy/sweet muhammara. Our main dishes of lamb, salmon, and chicken skewers with rice were also delicious. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and eager to return soon.
