Tsunami Panhandle - San Andreas
Tsunami Panhandle
Description
The reviews for this restaurant offer a mix of opinions, with some praising the excellent service provided by knowledgeable and attentive staff, fresh and delicious food offerings including sushi, Omakase, and various drinks. However, issues were noted with the noise level being as loud as a sport bar, uncomfortable seating arrangements, and high prices. Some found the interior design lacking in noise reduction, making it difficult to have a conversation while dining. Despite these downsides, some felt that the wonderful service and quality of the food make it a worthwhile dining experience, especially for sushi lovers looking for a chill and intimate vibe. Overall, it seems that the restaurant's biggest strengths lie in its high-quality dishes and dedicated staff, while improvements could be made in terms of the interior ambiance and pricing.

Absolutely amazing! You have to try the sake and oysters—both are delicious. The staff is really friendly too!
The restaurant offers high-quality ingredients and excellent service. The oysters are magnificent, sourced from Washington and of top-notch quality. Overall, the prices are quite reasonable.
I felt compelled to write a review to highlight their fantastic vegetarian options. They offer some of the best variety of vegetarian sushi I've ever come across!
Got two of the most popular dishes: the carpaccio and the tan tan mian and they were both horrible. The tan tan mian was unnecessarily sweet. The tuna served in the carpaccio was extremely fishy and slimy and the server tried to convince me that it’s supposed to taste this way. Even if it doesn’t give me a stomach ache, it was NOT enjoyable. On top of that the, 26% mandatory tip/fee no matter what party size is infuriating when food was bad and service was mid. Atleast they were transparent about it I guess.
I really want to give it 4 stars because the food was quite good but the service was unbelievably slow and the table was unbelievably uncomfortable. We sat at a table to the left of the entrance and it was unreasonably low and had unthinkably terrible ergonomics. I'm only 5' tall and I was so uncomfortable...I can't imagine how a 6' person would feel at that tiny table. Our backs hurt afterward! We waited about an hour for our sushi to arrive and there was no acknowledgement from the staff about the delay. When our nigiri finally came, we were disappointed with the portion size. The highlights are that the fish tasted fresh, they have a nice sake list and the ambiance is nice. Maybe if we went on a quieter night and sat at a normal table we would have had a better time.
