We continue to be impresses and grateful about terrific job that the Fly Trap is doing during the pandemic. The food continues to be of a high quality and the menu has evolved with several new items. We particularly love the Brussel sprouts, the burger and also the pasta dishes. The service is terrific. And the setting is intimate and charming. They have used a sort of alley way between the two buildings to create a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Fly Trap:
Went to the Fly Trap for the first time to try their breakfast and overall, it was good. The Fly Trap has endured since the 1920?s and is truly part of the fabric of San Francisco. I though the breakfast menu was a little limited, but, I absolutely loved the decor, the conspicuously adorable and unassuming patio, and the friendly staff. View all feedback.
To start of, the whole staff is attentive, kind and fun. The place is pretty cool, chill and clean. The food and drinks… AMAZING. Waitress always coming over to check on us. Restrooms clean. The place was just amazing all around. We were last minute walk-ins for dinner on a Friday and they found a way to sit us without a wait. If we are EVER in the area, we won’t hesitate in coming back here. They were also great with my kids. Little one loves to order on her own and they were totally cool with her. Awesome place. Loved it.
Delicious dinner menu! We had a couple of small plates and they were amazing, especially the Baked Goad Cheese and the Smoked Trout with cucumbers! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like home from the start. They also have a small terrace alley outside that looks very cozy! And I loved to find out this is a place with history is one of the oldest restaurants in San Francisco! We’ll be back here for sure!
We discovered The Fly Trap restaurant while waiting at a stop light, we happen to look down open door into the patio area. We had brunch, which was very delicious. Our watermelon margarita was very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We plan to return for dinner next time we are in San Francisco.
We had mocktails: pears gone wild and melon ball, loved pears gone wild, melon ball was ok. Arancini, warm acme bread was good, we really liked the mushroom soup. The truffle fries were slightly oily. The outdoor reservations fill up before the indoor. We were sitting indoors but outdoor looked very cozy and a good date spot
Nice food, great atmosphere. It was very busy and we hadn't booked a table but they did their best to accommodate us. I'll reserve a table next time :
