The cocktails were great. The fish quality was so so. The ice cream and sorbets were excellent. We spent $400 for the 2 of us so I expected to be wowed. I was whelmed.
Now my favorite Mina restaurant (now that his Mina spot is now Greek fare). Nigiri, sashimis and small plates are all super tasty. Hope they bring back a tasting menu sake pairing soon!Service A . Mushrooms and sashimi platter I ordered steak (dry aged ribeye) here for the first time—huge mistake! Happy hour from 4-530 Update 4/2022:quality has definitely gone down. The sashimi did not taste as fresh as it used to.Hope this is a temporary blip.
I had happy hour here. I liked everything, but I would prefer La Mar's HH. Good ingredients.
Food was good. Don't mind paying high prices for dishes that are worth it. But two tiny skewers of skirt steak (cheap cut) and chicken thighs (so cheap) should not be $14 each. Minus a star for that.
I would say for a high-end sushi place it’s OK. I’ve had much better sushi and appetizers for a lower price point. Don’t get me wrong this is not to discourage you from going just setting the right expectations. Did not particularly enjoy the horse mackerel sushi. And I’ve had that before which I’ve enjoyed.
