Omg. This place literally ruined all other sushi for me. It was SO good and SO fresh. Worth the price you will pay for a meal. I wish I lived in San Fran so I could eat this more often. It was the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. Amazing serviceas well. Will. be returning next time I’m in SF for sure.

Definitely a treat at Pabu @pabusf Not an everyday place to dine, as it’s on the pricer end, but so good and worth it for a special occasion! ?? Had their MISO-MARINATED BLACK COD, which includes porcini purée, and roasted root vegetables. The fishwas super moist, melt in your mouth. CRISPY PORK FRIED RICE, has charshu pork, garlic, and scallion. A comfort food item. Had anice sticky texture, but not too much! KAISO SEAWEED SALAD, san baizu, sesame dressing, and lemon. Simple, well-seasoned,texture seemed better compared to other seaweed salads I’ve had. MILK CHOCOLATE-SESAME CUSTARD, with black sesame sponge, cocoa nibs, red bean mousse. Nice mouth-feel, not too sweet. Also had, but not pictured: AHI TUNA POKE, includes tobiko, scallion, crispy wonton. The crispy wonton is everything. TOKYO FRIED CHICKEN 'KARAAGE ', ginger-soy marinade, spicy mayo.Crispy exterior, moist meat inside. MAITAKE MUSHROOM TEMPURA, with dashi-soy dipping sauce. A little different from the usualshrimp and veg tempura, a nice change.

The food and service at Pabu were outstanding as always! It's definitely one of my favorite restaurants. The staff’s recommendations from the menu were excellent, and every dish was perfectly prepared. The tomahawk and sashimi were incredible, and they were very accommodating of gluten-free and nut allergies. I truly believe Pabu is one of the best sushi spots in San Francisco!

What a delight dining at Pabu (@pabusf)! While it’s not an everyday restaurant due to its higher price point, it’s definitely worth treating yourself for a special occasion. I tried the Miso-Marinated Black Cod, which came with porcini purée and roasted root vegetables. The fish was incredibly moist, practically melting in your mouth. We also ordered the Crispy Pork Fried Rice, which featured charshu pork, garlic, and scallions—an absolute comfort food dish. It had a wonderfully sticky texture, but not overly so. The Kaiso Seaweed Salad with san baizu, sesame dressing, and lemon was simple yet well-seasoned, and its texture was superior to other seaweed salads I’ve tried. For dessert, we had the Milk Chocolate-Sesame Custard, complete with black sesame sponge, cocoa nibs, and red bean mousse. It had a lovely mouthfeel without being overly sweet. Additionally, though not pictured, we enjoyed Ahi Tuna Poke, featuring tobiko, scallions, and crispy wontons—the latter being a standout. We also sampled the Tokyo Fried Chicken (Karaage), which was marinated in ginger-soy, served with spicy mayo; it had a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Lastly, the Maitake Mushroom Tempura with dashi-soy dipping sauce offered a refreshing twist on the usual shrimp and vegetable tempura. Overall, Pabu is a fantastic choice for an exceptional dining experience!
