Decided to have a meal away from the hotel and chose here as it was always busy whenever we passed it. Good menu, excellent service and the food was really good. I really enjoyed the sea bass, very tasty.

Absolutely disgusting service. My food, the seafood paella was actually very nice. My father had the chicken scallop which he ended up getting served pork instead, and my stepmum got the Cod. Service at the start was ‘okay’, kind of slow but manageable. It all came at the middle to end. When we received our food, it looked lovely, but it was obviously just for looks rather than taste on my fathers dish. Like I said previously, he ordered the chicken and received pork, however he is not one to complain about something like this. The pork was tough and as he described was ‘like leather. However, the main problem was with the chips that were served with both the cod and the scallop. They were drastically undercooked. They were crunchy and snapped when slightly bent. We asked for a different round of chips and I specially asked for them to be cooked longer and instead we received a new plate of chips, of which were slightly better but also, not cooked to standard. We asked for the manager after and explained that the food was not up to scratch and that it was not nice. He didn’t not seem to care whatsoever, no acknowledgment of our dislike and no apology. If you go through recent reviews, you will see many say that the chips were undercooked, which trust me, coming from a chef is a difficult thing to do. How do you undercook a chip? Who knows. We then received the bill and they had taken the chips off but not the scallop of pure leather they served to my dad. My dad asked to speak to the manager again as it was getting tiring going back and forth and we ended up speaking to what we presumed was the owner. It went even further downhill from here, which must be a milestone. The owner took our complaint and went inside, again, no apology. He came back around 5 mins later and said that they had reduced the scallop to 50% of the price. This was not good enough. We were quite happy to pay the bill, but not happy to pay for a price of leather. My dad asked why and the owner said that it’s because my dad ate all of the food. This is not the case at all. My dad ate 1/4 of the scallop of pork which was meant to be chicken and a few chips because quite frankly, both were genuinely inedible. The owner started to be aggressive saying that the chips and scallop of leather were not over cooked and undercooked, and my father pointed out that I am a chef, as I am, and that I more than any random person know when something is either undercooked and overcooked. The owner said ‘everybody here is a chef’ in a sarcastic way, which was not appreciated by any of us. The owner was overall rude and aggressive. We said we were not paying for the piece of boot and he claimed that he will call the police. I told him to call the police knowing that it was a civil matter as we had not left the restaurant yet as we were more than happy to pay for everything else. He was then aggressive even more and caused a scene in front of everybody, which looks bad on his part? Overall disgusting experience, extremely amateur chefs who can only cook paella, the easiest dish on the whole menu. Owner, get your chefs, especially sous and head some more training, as that should not be going through the pass knowing fine well the chips were completely undercooked. I’m still bewildered on how you can undercook chips? Just double/triple cook them next time? Little tip from an actual trained chef for you there. Families, it looks tempting and lovely from the outside, but please, don’t go in, food expensive for what you get, chips frozen and also undercooked, staff relatively rude and the owner has no idea on how to run a restaurant, which shows with his 3* rating. Owner, be ashamed of yourself, and have a long think on whether you should run a business and therefore a restaurant and whether your schoolboy chefs should be working there. Because from an actual chefs point of view, you should all be embarrassed.

We were recommended this restaurant for a typical Spanish paella it didn't disappoint ! certainly one of the best tasting paella's we have TASTED but the presentation was awful it was brought out to our table in a big dish but was then just slopped onto a plate with a couple of 2x mussels 2x small langoustines if it didn't taste so good I would have deffo sent it back ! To cap it off the service overall was very poor indeed having to request so many times for some olives. Would not recommend this sadly which is a shame as the food was very good.

For my birthday my husband brought me D’Albert, what a disappointment! Avoid! Between appalling service and being charged for something we ordered but they didn’t deliver, we would suggest no one visits here.
