Great experience. Are outside so a little loud. Should consider restricting foot traffic through outside eating area. Otherwise loved it
Incredible meal, amazing service and fantastic view! Everything was perfect and we enjoyed everything!
You can’t beat the setting! My daughters loved the cute shape of their pancakes and were talking about it all day. Yummy shrimp and grits, very filling with the poached egg. Very friendly and helpful staff. Love their holiday buffets—but obviously that is off the table right now. I hope they will be back in the future
Very disappointing. The crab cakes tasted like imitation crab and was very wet. The server made us feel like he wanted us out of there as quick as possible. There was no mention that we were there for a birthday celebration even though I had written that down when I made the reservation on-line. Would definitely not recommend this place at all.
A friend and I enjoyed an early dinner at Echo. It was my first visit. Positives: King and Prince is a beautiful resort directly on the ocean; the Echo restaurant has large windows looking out onto the beach and ocean. The service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and gracious to us. Negatives: the Echo vibe and decor is more like a coffee shop than a fine restaurant. The menu is very straight forward and like what is usually found in a family restaurant. Don't expect high cuisine here. Meal: my shrimp and corn chowder was very tasty, with large, fresh shrimp. I ordered a chicken Philly sandwich for my entree. The sandwich was dominated by a white sauce that overpowered the chicken, cheese, and veggies. Overall, it was mediocre. My friend's meal: he ordered filet mignon, which was served with mashed potatoes. He reported that the potatoes were good. The steak served was definitely not a typical filet mignon. It was a large, thick cut that my friend said tasted like pot roast. It was cooked considerably beyond the medium that he requested. This was a $40+ entree. The Caesar salad was good. Echo would be more appropriate for a lunch with a beach view (they also have outdoor seating) or an appetizer than a nice dinner that you would expect at high end resort prices.
