like to choose which food I'm going to eat so I'm not going to suggest to have a meal here. In this small, family (I suppose) managed, restaurant there's no menu: you are going to eat what was prepared for the day. We had a...nice cold cuts starter, than cheese, cabbage with anchovies, apple with mayonnaise (yes mayonnaise), cabbage soup, polenta (something like porridge) and meat. Everything was... edible.. but noth... View all feedback.
Exceptionally through tripadvisor restaurant in a region where we have been on the go for several years! and what a fantastic experience! simple but tasty pasta, pure taste, fantastic view and very warm service! here they come to the experience of the mountain in. to taste her teller! we will be back safely!
We ate here twice on holiday and enjoyed it a lot both of them. our medium-sized white dog was even made to feel welcome in the restaurant in the evening. the menu is small, but it is not a problem because everything is made with good, high quality ingredients and it tastes good! I wanted to go back, but unfortunately our holiday was over! the family made us very welcome and we learned a lot about the val d’aosta talking to the chief father and mother. thanks!
I was there several times with family and friends, they find excellent local cuisine and an amazing view. the owners of the restaurants are really friendly. book the restaurant in advance.
We came almost too late for lunch, but the hostess greeted us graciously and gave us a bumble-out spread of rustic cheese, sausage, plant chutney, sage linsensalat and beer. we al fresco with a spectacular view of the mountains. there was a lot of lively conversation... under the hostess, regulars and new visitors.
We had visited Vetan before, and knew that this place was one of a kind. The restaurant is small and every day the chef, who is also one of the owners of this family business, prepares the kind of meal that she and her family...also enjoy. There is no menu, but you can find out earlier in the day what will be on offer that evening when we went it was vegetable soup followed by a veal stew with apple cake or ice cream and berries for dessert. Another family had obviously pre-ordered a pasta dish for their kids, so it is possible to get something different if you need to. The chef speaks excellent English, as well as Italian and French, this being a bilingual area. So, the choice was minimal, even for the wine, but the food was great and the atmosphere very friendly. What more can you ask for at a total cost of 45 euros for two people? Booking is essential, since the restaurant is situated at about 1800 metres up a long, winding road and it's a long way down.
