A nostalgic location for steamed hot dogs and grilled burgers. Don't forget the fries and a chocolate milk if you visit. The hot relish is fantastic!! The staff is friendly as well. It can be busy at times, but worth it!
A lot is said about all of the different lobster rolls in Portland and Maine in general but Rapid Ray's lobster roll is by far the very best. It's priced perfectly and relative to all of the fancy lobster rolls in Portland it is delicious. I wouldrecommend Rapid Rays to everyone and anyone in the Saco/Portland area
A regular stop for us. It's tradition! Started taking my son here after Cub Scout meetings and they always engaged with him. Took him there the other night after he made Eagle Rank to celebrate. Saco treasure.
Visiting from Upstate NY I had to try Rapid Rays. It's been called a must visit when in the Biddeford-Saco area, Maine's twin cities. You can dine in, but its standing room only as there are no tables. The review is a about the food and theservice. Food was quickly prepared, we tried a cheeseburger, fries, and lobster roll. The burgers made to order were good, andthe fries made my way thin with no potato skins lol. Now the lobster roll lol. I am from New York so hot butter rolls are mything, normally I wouldn't try a cold roll with mayonnaise. I tried it, and loved it. Fresh toasted roll, fresh thick lobster, and it was fantastic. The service lol, seemed like a good bunch of guys but impatient with my indecisiveness. They jokedsarcastically with me but took sympathy on me when they probably realized I was an out of towner. I joked back with them and allwas good. This nice spot in the heart of downtown is definitely a landmark.
My first time at rapid rays . Nice set up. But I do need to say they need to update the prices that are on the internet.. I don't know if the prices are from 1982 but it said something like $2.30 for a hamburger lol they're not expensive I got two me two large fries a hamburger a cheeseburger for around 20 bucks. The French fries could've been cooked a little longer.. But the hamburgers were good..
