Gluten free cakes, the banana and maple syrup cake was scrumptious. Staff really friendly and knowledgeable about their ingredients. Open kitchen if you want to watch the chefs prepare food. The food and coffees are delicious, one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. It’s a quirky building and setting, right in the centre overlooking the castle ruins. Cannot fault anything and highly recommended. Helmsley is a great place to visit and this was the highlight.

The staff were attentive and efficient, the food was absolutely scrummy and the atmosphere was just lovely. We are not local, but if we ever come back to the area we'll be sure to visit again.
