Was George S. Raptis at Cayley Arms a mag?
We stopped by on our last night of our trip and wished we had gone sooner. The food was delicious - my wife had the chicken with creamed leeks and I had the steak and ale pie. The service was excellent and the beer was tasty. View all feedback.

What SandraP934 dislikes about Cayley Arms:
Our first trip to the Caley Arms but not our last I'm sure. We couldn't fault the food, service or surroundings. If you want good quality, freshly prepared, home cooked food then give this place a try but if your preference is for cheap food, frozen chips and piled high plates then try elsewhere. Just back from an excellent Sunday Lunch at The Cayley Arms. One of the best in quality we have had for sometime. Great friendly attentive service.

Best roast beef we have had in any restaurant. Good sized portions making the price good value for money. It had been many years since visiting this venue and we were amazed at the transformation. We would highly recommend.

I had the feather blade beef and mash, oh my days, where to begin? One word needed, WOW. It was delicious, my partner had steak pie which was also as nice, proper chips.

Booked a table last minute. We were staying at a nearby campsite. Very friendly staff, decor gorgeous, friendly locals (i like to caht) dogs welcome in certain areas bonus. Limited menu but was assured it was cooked fresh which we prefer. Would liked to have seen a freshly cooked childrens menu though because there was no childrens menu at all. My 2 children will eat freshly cooked food and with a little imagination can be done for children, does not need to be too fancy but also does not need to be frozen rubbish. Ambience was lovely. My husband ordered the beer battered fish, chunky chips and mushy peas- he enjoyed this (shared with our 8yr old daughter) My son ordered the small beer battered fish and chunky chips. I ordered the mushroom risotto, as i am vegetarian (no other choice for a veggie) it was very tasty, we ordered extra vegetables which were very good. In all a lovely meal. Just the above grumble about no childrens fresh cooked food menu and the lack vegetarian options.
