The girls at the rye hotel go out of their way to make your visit special but also that we will always come back. The mussels are our favourites and they must pile at least 50 on to the plate and the sauce is bezutiful to mop up with bread. Not a drop goes to waste. Service was awful. Everything I ordered seemed to be too hard for the waitress servicing the outdoor bar. Wasn’t ordering fancy cocktails only beer, wine and soft drink. Seemed to have plenty of time to scroll through her phone. Tried to order food but was...told the kitchen was closed. on Sunday. Website says kitchen open from days a week. Went for a girls weekend away and popped into the rye hotel for dinner. Absolutely the best steak I've had in a long time everyone else really loved their meals also!
Had a meal here tonight after not being here for quite a while,due to a move to Mornington,thought we'd return tonight for a treat and wasn't dissapointed,apart from being pleasantly surprised by the small renovation in the bistro,found the meals,all 3 to be excellent 10 out of 10,compliments to the chef on the night,you even accommodated to a gluten free meal,which was enjoyed very much,l had the main calamari,which just melted in the mouth the salad was just spot on....so Thankyou to everyone
We stayed at the Rye hotel (one four Nelson) and during our stay ate at the Rye hotel 3 times. Lunch dinner and lastly breakfast before checking out. Staff lovely, helpful. And the food was great!! Hence us going back. Will definitely go back if we find ourselves in Rye again. Ps. Chipotle ribs were amazing
On Monday 12Th of February my husband and l went there for lunch we both ordered chicken schnitzel it looked nice when l was eaten it it tasted funny thought it was the way they crumb the schnitzel Tuesday night we both came down sick with Diarrhoea disappointed Food drinks: Went there for a meal 2 days in a row and got changed 2 different prices Service: 1 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view
