Chili's - Ruston
Chili's
Description
Dine at your own risk at this restaurant, where the inconsistencies in service and food quality can sour an experience. Guests report soggy salads and underwhelming entrees, including cold pasta that lacks promised accompaniments, while service proves unreliable. Although there are moments of delight—such as attentive waitstaff and some well-prepared dishes—frustrations abound, particularly with seating arrangements and staffing shortages. Longtime patrons express disappointment over the decline in service, citing empty tables amidst long waits. With a mix of decent and disappointing meals, diners may find better options elsewhere in this college town.

Kids love this place and so do I. Always service with a smile. You can't beat those Southwest Eggrolls.
My Cajun pasta arrived extremely cold, and they didn’t include the toast or the extra garlic toast I paid for. I called to report the issue, but no one answered. After holding for five minutes, an automated message said there was a technical problem and then disconnected the call. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this experience. I will never go back.
We entered the restaurant and waited for a few minutes before deciding to sit at a high table in the bar area. However, a woman insisted that we move to a table on the other side of the restaurant. Despite our preference to remain in the bar, she wouldn't allow it and then walked away, leaving us waiting near the entrance. Eventually, a friendly gentleman seated us in the dining area instead of the bar. We noticed other guests being seated at the high tables in the bar that we were told we couldn’t use. While our server was attentive and helpful, the host wasn't accommodating at all. It’s not surprising that the restaurant was quite empty. We’ll be looking for other dining options next time.
The meal was absolutely wonderful, and our waiter was exceptional! She was very attentive and made sure our drinks were always full. She ensured we had everything we needed throughout our dining experience.
I have been a patron of this restaurant for 10 to 12 years, but I've noticed a decline in service since the redheaded gentleman started working here. It's frustrating to see empty tables while waiting 15 minutes to be seated because there aren't enough waitstaff. Given that this is a college town, the restaurant needs to enhance its staffing levels to meet the high demand. Bringing on more employees and introducing efficient service practices, like hiring a busboy, would significantly enhance the overall dining experience.
