we had lunch twice and both of them were very good. well supported by locals. the craftsmanship is recommended. there are tables outside, but it was cold, so we ate in where it was warm, full and happy. View all feedback.
What Anouk Petitjean doesn't like about Le Central Rouen:
we had a nice lunch here for 15 EUR pp. Food and service was great but I assume kitchen is very small since the chef has to come out every minute to take something out of the fridge in the resto. Dishwashing going on behind the bar is also strange and there was no music. Overall nice restaurant in Rouen! View all feedback.
We were only in the afternoon. happens from le central, where many locals had lunch. we sat with some luggage in the tow (because the car rental was closed during the afternoon). not only eating well, but. the owner and his wife were both very warm and hospitable and also gave us help. all about a great experience.

We were in Rouen for a few days on our French trip and thought it nicer to have breakfast somewhere other than our hotel. After looking at a few possibilities, we settled on Le Central and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and accommodating....Breakfast was great, just what we wanted, an omelette, croissant, great coffee, fruit and orange juice at very reasonable prices. My wife had tea and enjoyed real tea leaves, rather than the near ubiquitous tea bag. As the name suggests, the cafe is centrally placed. Great food, attentive staff and good value.
Had here a lunch with my wife during lunchtime. Seats never got time to cool down. Full and as soon as someone got up the seat was taken. We found out why very soon... waiters work at lightning speed as a well oiled machine. Took...always less than a second to draw their attention. Delivery time of a beer after ordering: seconds flat. Terrine maison was simple but of very good taste. My meat dish was good to very good and the desert made my wife very happy (she is now trying to replicate it at home; apple crumble pie it was). menu for euros!. Quality-price ratio: off the chart. They could easily raise the prices and be packed all the same.
