Was recommended to visit this place for good seafood since my family is new to the area. Overall the menu was pretty good. A nice mix of fried seafood and fresh seafood along with gumbo?s. I tried the Crab Fingers for $20 and it was actually a reallygood deal. They were seasoned welled, served in a butter bowl and came with plenty of fingers. Never had a dish like thisbefore, very unique. Perfect for when you want a taste of crab but don?t want to do the whole boil and deal with the mess.Cornbread was authentic and good. Hot coco was delicious. No complaints. It was a cozy place and very lively. I would come backplenty of times.
Stuffed mushrooms and fried alligator appetizers were good but the blackened mahi mahi entree was outstanding and the cheesecake was very good as well. Good relaxed open atmosphere and good service
Jules was out server today. She was amazing! You have to try this restaurant in Rockwall. The seafood is absolutely delicious! We ordered garlic bread, stuffed mushrooms, grilled fish with crab topping, and for dessert banana bread. I can't wait until wedine here again. This will be our weekly stop. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome from the time you walk inthe door. What a wonderful experience! High five to you Jules!!
Went in the evening on a Friday and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and polite. For appetizers my husband ordered the oysters and I ordered the crab mac and cheese. Both absolutely delicious. My husband said the oysters weren't top tier butstill really good. For our entrees I ordered the Mahi Mahi and my husband got the fish and chips. The lemon butter sauce forthe Mahi was exceptional! The veggies were mostly zucchini which I think should have been specified. The Brussel sprouts and newpotatoes were cooked perfectly and very good. My husband said the fried fish was very good but the fries were a littleplain. All in all we had a good experience and would definitely come back!
Very popular perhaps owing to limited choices in the area. Service was good. The food had little in the way of wanting a deja vu. The oysters reflected the changing times in the industry anything smaller would probably have never been harvested. Theclam chowder did indeed have a hint of clam but the salinity was probably intentional. The crab cakes were done well as were thetacos. The blackened salmon was saved by the fact that it was wild. The grilled redfish had the telltale grill pattern but nodark markings. Presumably those are limited to deep water seafood.
