Applebee's on Challenger is hailed as the best Applebee's location by enthusiastic diners who appreciate the upbeat and helpful servers, as well as the tasty food offerings and great deals available. However, not all reviews were as glowing, with some customers expressing disappointment in slow service, lackluster food quality, and unappetizing dishes such as the spin dip and chicken pasta. Despite some drawbacks, the restaurant does offer a full bar, convenient TO GO options, and value meal deals that can make dining out more affordable. Additionally, the addition of tablets at tables for ordering and payment may streamline the process, but could potentially lead to less attentive service from staff.

What Saskia Rapp dislikes about Applebee's:
Love it!. Applebees on challenger is the BEST Applebee's around. The servers are so up beat and helpful. The food is always good and I love that they offer good deals on food. I love this Applebee's. View all feedback.
Blah!. I visit here often as it is a good meeting spot for lunch meetings. After several visits there is a common theme - the servers are slow and have no energy to them; takes a long while to get drink refills even then they are not very busy (we usually visit between the lunch crowd and dinner time). The food is average at best on a good day. They recently got new chips for the spin dip that are thin and dipped in grease before being served at the table. The spin dip is out of a bag - we actually got a piece of the bag in our food and the server made a joke about it. The chicken pasta is very plain leaving the flavor burden on the sauce and that comes up bland. I fell like all of the pasta is served with noodles in a plate with a minimal amount of sauce on top. The infamous long bread stick usually comes out hard as a louisville slugger. The meals that are served on a cast iron griddle like plate are cooked onto the plate. I don't enjoy having to filet my chicken off of the plate just to eat it. This is most likely taking place after food sits under heat lamps waiting for server to deliver to table. The one good thing is the dessert offerings. They have the cheap brownie bite that is just that a few bites that's only ~$1.50. Perfect size for after a meal. This has been my experience after several visits to this location. There are a few good points to this place. They have a full bar with nice drink offerings, although frozen drinks seem to come weak unless you order a double shot. They have made efforts to streamline the TO GO process and will meet you at your car. Bottom line is when they are busy it will still take just as long, only benefit is if you have young kids in car or if it is raining. The Two for $20/$25 offerings are a good way to get out the door without spending an arm and a leg; soda not included in that price. Tables now have tablets that allow you to order items, and pay your check. I feel like this is a way for the service staff to be even less attentive.
