The rooms were tranqui... read more The restaurant is located beautifully next to Ripon Cathedral. The staff were welcoming, extremely friendly, and helpful during our stay. The rooms were tranquil and spacious with comfortable beds and luxurious white towels and dressing robes. My children and I loved our peaceful stay at this haven. The breakfast portions were perfect. The only downside was the limited vegetarian options on the menus, but the hotel made an effort to accommodate us. Overall, we were all smiles!

The cauliflower chees... read more The Sunday lunch at this restaurant was exceptional. The roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, and vegetables were all excellent. The cauliflower cheese could have used more cheese. The treacle tart was also delicious. The service was friendly, but could be a bit more efficient, as they did not have English mustard available.

The... read more Had a lovely stay at the the atmospheric Old Deanery last week made welcome by the friendly attentive staff and a room with a view and very comfortable bed. The tasting menu was wonderful from the first course presented at the bar by the chef through to the following delicious plates. The serving of breakfast was as creative as dinner and as enjoyable. I look forward to visiting Ripon and The Old Deanery again.
