I drove past this place, only 9 miles from me, dozens of times and would never have thought it would be for vegans. From the outside it looks like it's full of retired colonies. There was not much of a choice at noon, but what it was quite enough and we will certainly go back. Service was friendly and excellent, apart from waiting for bread, food well prepared, a selection of Gins Tonics and lots of ice cream. Beautiful Georgian building with most original features preserved; open fire. I loved the point out that muddy boots and dogs were welcome, but racist uncles were not.

The location... read more We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Bruce Arms, and the service was excellent. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely return. The location is perfect, as we were staying at the Slenigford Windmill caravan and camping site and only had to walk across a field for about 20 minutes to reach the pub. Overall, we highly recommend the Bruce Arms for its romantic atmosphere, great value, and convenient location.
