Consistently good value for money and fast service. Entertaining people who also watch the other diners! I have eaten here for more than 10 years 1-2 times a year and it's always a cheap but delicious dinner! View all feedback.

Grief Grief We were surprised that the sushi rice was recorded a layer of Wasabi. Was that an indication that the sushi was not fresh?

During my recent lunch visit, the restaurant was unusually quiet with only one other table occupied on a Saturday. The sashimi was good, though perhaps a bit warmer than I would have liked, and the California roll was okay. There was an abundance of rice in the dishes, which I assume was to maintain the generous portions the restaurant was known for. I found it odd to have to order a separate bowl of rice, as the teriyaki sauce made my fish too salty to eat on its own. Additionally, I was surprised to be charged for a second cup of hot green tea for a refill, as it wasn't specified on the menu that refills would cost extra. Despite these unusual practices, Sushi Suma still offers tasty food at prices that have remained consistent over the years, even through changes in ownership. It remains a good option for those seeking authentic Japanese cuisine.
