Round Table Pizza - Redding
Round Table Pizza
Description
Beloved local pizzeria delivers high-quality, flavorful pies with a nostalgic pizza-parlor vibe and a sports-friendly bar, but experiences vary widely. Diners praise fresh ingredients, standout specialty pies and accommodating banquet service, while recurring issues include slow or missed pickup/delivery, order mistakes, inconsistent preparation (burnt or over-sauced pizzas), a pricey limited salad bar, and a poorly managed arcade. Friendly staff pop up alongside reports of indifferent management. Great for families and sports fans who accept occasional service hiccups.

Great tasting pizza, but a bit expensive, even with discounts. I also ordered on line for a pizza pick up in a couple of hours. When I got there at my appointed time, I was told that it was just put into the oven. Yet, there was no customers in the place. How could they be so poorly managed that they could be on time?
This review is for the Lake Blvd Location I don't know why the ratings on here are so low. This pizza is one of the best-tasting. You can tell the ingredients are high quality. I've been going to round table since I was a kid. It has always been my favorite pizza. It's fallen off a bit over the years in the cleanliness category for dine in I've noticed. And staffing looks to be a struggle right now too. But overall it's still one of the best pizza's around. I still love it.
I placed my order around 4:45p. The first delivery was set for 5:30, doable. A little later I get a text that it will be delivered at 6:30p. 6:30 passed and no word. Finally about 6:40 someone is sitting out front but not coming up to the house. When they finally do they're not sure they have the right pizza for the right person. Fortunately they do. Really?....Result, not doing that again.
Best pizza in Redding. I love the King Arthur with extra sauce (no additional charge). I'm always surprised when I order it online for pickup at a specific time and it's not ready, but it's worth the 5-10 minutes of waiting time.
My family and I visited this location on a Friday afternoon and received extremely poor customer service from this location. We had a dine-in order and all of our food was hot and fresh. We were disappointed that the salad bar remains a one-trip visit for supposed health reasons but still is pretty high priced. Overall the food that we received for dine-in was satisfactory, although expensive. We then ordered a pizza to go as well but had a very significant wait. After inquiring about our order it was finally provided to us but seemed to be a little cold and was possibly sitting ready to go but they didn 't call our order out or they weren 't loud enough for us to hear that the order was ready. Not sure which way it was, but it was frustrating. During our wait for the to-go order, we allowed our kids to play games in the arcade. They have moved to a digital card system where you have to load tokens onto a player card to swipe and play games. I 'm not sure how many credits were wasted on broken games, but we discovered that a few of the games were taking credits but not actually working. When I brought this to the attention of an employee they told us they were sorry it didn 't work but that there was nothing to be done because it was a third party. I couldn 't believe that they didn 't have any solution for us except to essentially say Tough luck . I asked how they expected to resolve the situation and the employee said that they would try to text the company about it but I would have to wait until after they dealt with all the other customers in the line. When I checked back about it after getting our to-go order I was informed that they still hadn 't done anything about it nor had they put an out-of-order sign on the games to keep this from happening to any more unsuspecting customers. I later called to address this situation with a manager and was informed that the uncaring employee I had spoken to in person was actually the general manager of the store, Ivy. I requested a callback regarding the situation but did not receive a response. This wasn 't a surprise since the general manager was the one I had originally spoken to, so I assume she didn 't want to report the issues to the owners. A few days later I called again and spoke to a different supervisor who then provided me with direct contact with the arcade game company to try to obtain a refund. I think it seems like a pretty scammy situation to provide games that they don 't have any accountability for and make it difficult for customers to find a resolution for issues without having to follow up multiple times. Terrible customer service and from the general manager herself!
