We kicked off our... read more I had a fantastic afternoon at Polperro yesterday with friends, celebrating a husband’s birthday on February 22nd, and I can't wait to return! We kicked off our experience with a guided tasting in the atmospheric back room, led by a very knowledgeable and friendly host. After that, we were taken to our table in the main dining area. We ordered nearly everything on the menu, and each dish was exceptional, although I have to give special mention to the duck pâté appetizer, fish tacos, and lamb shoulder—simply divine! As for the wine, we enjoyed several bottles of Chardonnay and Syrah, which were favorites among us, and we wrapped up the afternoon with a coffee martini on the deck. Oh, and the service was top-notch. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a wonderful afternoon with friends!

The staff was wonderful—they even lit a cozy fire, provided us with blankets, and charged my phone! The food and wine were delicious, and the view was stunning. There’s also a little dog that comes by for some attention, which was a nice touch. Our waiter, JeanPierre, was incredibly friendly and offered us some excellent wine recommendations. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone!

It's situated under the generous shade of beautiful ghost gums, with a breathtaking view of the vineyard. The food was fantastic—an adventurous blend of Australian flavors that were both exciting and, most importantly, incredibly delicious. The staff enhanced the experience even further, providing excellent service, great recommendations, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
