Was rebecca boomgaarden at Townley's a mag?
Had an outstanding meal. The service was attentive but not in your face. The food was exceptionally good. We had padron peppers, oysters, steak and brownie, which are all highly recommended. Also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chapel Down. Everything was 10/10. We couldn't have had a better meal. Highly recommended and if I'm ever back in Ramsgate I will come back here. View all feedback.
What Molly Harrison dislikes about Townley's:
Given the number of staff standing by the bar chatting, an unwelcome arrival, time taken to take a drinks order, people who arrived after us were served before. Lack of attention generally. View all feedback.

Beautiful dining room, filled with atmosphere. great service, good eating beautiful staff
Stunning environment with a relaxed, elegant atmosphere, tastefully decorated for christmas. the staff is super efficient and helpful. the small plates are delicious and beautifully presented. we can relax in the stylish lounge before we eat in the beautiful dining room. a perfect festive evening.
Lovely ambience and our Sunday roast and starter was delicious. The whole meal was great and a birthday lunch. I would say I wouldn’t be able to afford to go regularly. But the setting and the dining experience was wonderful. We had drinks in the lounge afterwards with a lovely view.
Excellent ambience let down by a poor menu. I 'm happy to pay over the odds for good food in a pleasant environment but we felt let down by small portions and missing items from the menu. My main reason for choosing The Albion was for the breakfast vegan waffles, but it turned out they were off the menu. Very disappointing given the menu is small (size of menu not itself a problem in fact I had assumed a small menu would guarantee everything would be on it! . I chose the mushroom option instead, which was ok but small. My dining partners both chose the beans with kale option. This turned up without the kale. Sorry, we don 't have kale this morning. Well, if they 'd been told beforehand they might have chosen something else. As it was they ended up with a very expensive plate of beans on toast. We didn 't complain at the time because we didn 't want to spoil what was in other ways a very pleasant morning, but we were extremely disappointed with the lack of options, small portions, missing items and poor communication, especially given the price. A real victory of style over content I 'm afraid.
