The service was excellent and the food was delicious with generous portions. I will definitely return. The only downside is that most Italian restaurants in this area don’t offer garlic powder.
Veal is rarely found on menus these days, so I decided to try the Florentina, and it was amazing! We came by around 3:30 PM, between lunch and dinner, and the portion was large enough to share. I'm very happy we chose to visit!
I tried the lunch special spaghetti with Italian sausage and mushrooms. I would have preferred just mushrooms, as the sausage wasn’t very good. Aside from that, everything was fine and the server was excellent.
The waitress was friendly and did her best to compensate for the owner's rather grumpy demeanor. He even took our ordered appetizers and delivered them to another table that he appeared more enthusiastic about serving. Consequently, the waitress had to hurry to the kitchen to have another batch made for us. The food was just mediocre—nothing special, which is common for this area. However, I have to admit that this restaurant is certainly an upgrade compared to the unnamed Italian place in Winnsboro.
