Jan's And Grill - Quitman

Wow! I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak with brown gravy and fried okra, and it was massive! I usually get breakfast, but since it was almost 2 PM, I decided to try this instead. When I saw the portion size, I was amazed! The server suggested I save the other half for dinner, and that's exactly what I did. The service is consistently outstanding. Thank you so much; I always enjoy coming here. Food: 5/5.

We have dined at Jan's four times: once for breakfast, which was just okay and not very hot, and three times for dinner. The steaks were good, and the chicken fried steak was also enjoyable. However, the service leaves much to be desired. There's no urgency in seating guests, and once you are seated, you can expect a long wait before anyone attends to your table. Despite visiting three times, the service has remained consistently slow.

The food was served cold and lacked any flavor. Even the fries were soggy. The iced tea was unpleasant, and the coleslaw was overly drenched in mayo and didn't taste fresh at all. Overall, this meal was highly overpriced given how simple it is to prepare such dishes deliciously.

We thought we had found our Restaurant in Jan’s. Liked the food, good waitress and friendly. But yesterday we were treated like second rate customers. I thought all customers should be treated alike but I guess there was a customer more important than us. They have lost a customer not that it will effect them but they hurt the waitress by taking our tip away from them. I believe the management should compensate them for that loss.Juan

This is my favorite breakfast place by far! They have the best food, best service, and an amazing atmosphere. They treat everyone like family.Food: 5/5
