This Panera Bread location offers a generally pleasant atmosphere with soothing music and a clean environment, ideal for casual dining or working. Menu highlights include the Baja Bowl, cheddar broccoli soup, soft French bread, and standout bagels, with breakfast items praised for generous portions. However, some customers report inconsistent service: while many staff are friendly, a particular manager’s strict policies, especially toward small orders and unlimited coffee subscribers, have caused discomfort and complaints. Delivery experiences vary, with occasional order errors and slow refunds. Overall, the food quality is decent but can feel overpriced, making visits a mixed experience depending on staff interaction.
The experience was fairly standard, but the customer service exceeded expectations. My family ordered food to go, and when we got home, we realized a sandwich was missing. We called the restaurant, and they confirmed they had our sandwich. Although we didn't feel like going back to pick it up, they took down our name and mentioned that we had a credit for the sandwich. I'm not entirely sure how reliable that is, but it’s the thought that matters.
Be careful with a short lady that the manager seems to be loading in this. any other staff is friendly here, but if they only order a drink, it is very likely that they will be thrown the load from this particular short lady out of the load. her order is considered too small to have her a place. if they subscribe to the unlimited coffee, it will not allow them to have their 2nd cup, even the directive is that they can get another cup of coffee after 2 hours. all other employees can't say anything because they're the manager. my mother and her friends have refused to pick up their order and to leave no ground from this lady. they even called the police, but politicists could not explain why they were asked to go. this incident was reported to the nyc consumer affairs and human right commission as well as panera bread corp.
Whatever you do, don't order soup here. The bowl will not even be filled halfway. Considering that the soup is not even made here (it is shipped in plastic bags), Panera Bread could do much better than charge eight dollars for less than a dollar's worth. Getting tired of these NYC restaurants ripping off customers at every opportunity.
Be ware of a short lady who seems to be the manager in this store. Every other staff is friendly here, but if you only order a drink, it's very likely to be kicked out the store by that particular short lady. Your order will be considered too small to letyou to have a seat. If you subscribe to the unlimited coffee, she is not going to let you have your 2nd cup even the policy isthat you can get another cup of coffee after 2 hours. All other staffs can't say anything, because she is the manager. My motherand her friends got refused to pick up their order and kicked out of the store by this lady for no reason explained. They evencalled police, but police officers could not explain why they were asked to leave. Took my grandparents from Europe to Panera for lunch and honestly I was highly dissatisfied the food was cold and when we wanted to have some drinks instead of coke or ginger ale there was just water. I gave them the sandwiches back and they made new onesbut didn?t really apologize or anything so I found their behavior almost rude. I get it it can happen but still if you go eatyou don?t want to deal with this.
