I received a message unexpectedly at my door. I reached out to the restaurant, Lotus and Cleaver, to let them know about a mix-up with my order. They informed me that I could get the meal as planned. The bowl of heritage pork char siu was absolutely delicious. The meat was well-marinated, and it paired perfectly with the bok choy and mushrooms, which were full of flavor. Overall, I'm a big fan! What User doesn't like about Lotus Cleaver:
I placed my order to eat at the restaurant, but unfortunately, my food never arrived at the table. Instead, it seems they treated my order like a pickup and placed it in a bag without any notification that it was ready. I waited for about 30 minutes, so by the time I got my food, it was cold. The food here puts a modern twist on traditional Cantonese cuisine. While some ingredients and preparation methods differ from the authentic style, the flavors still capture its essence. I also appreciate that the dishes aren't overly salty. I ordered the Chrysanthemum honey tea, which has a pleasantly mild sweetness.
The Char Siu bowl was absolutely delicious! The food overall was amazing!
The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous! The noodles had a nice amount of meat in them!
Simple dishes with great texture and flavor, loved the Garlicky Bok Choy (nice and crispy) and the five spice pork.
The congee bowl gives me so much life after a long night out.
