Went to dinner with my uncle the other night. Walking into El Toum was like coming home. We were greeted like we were family. I ordered the lamb, Jim got the chicken. Both were excellent. The baklava was very good as well. The hummus was the BEST i ever had ! Atmosphere was casual and relaxed. 3 small deuces on the sidewalk were full, so we sat inside. Most relaxed and enjoyable dinner i have had in NYC in ages. Thanks Sammy. See you soon.

First of all, if you’re reading reviews about this place because you’re on the fence, cut it out. I wouldn’t go out of my way to write this if it wasn’t absolutely AMAZING. The food is home cooked and delicious, the atmosphere is always friendly and inviting, and the service is the warmest thing you will ever experience, second to your grandmother. Ok ok, seriously though Sammy has such a huge heart and makes everyone feel like family. SERIOUSLY!Go eat, you won’t regret it.And if you read to the bottom of this review, and have already eaten, leave one yourself. I’ll come back to check.
