Don Alex - Queens
Don Alex
Description
Don Alex offers a varied dining experience that leaves patrons with mixed feelings. While many rave about its delicious dishes such as mixed ceviche and tuna causa, some customers have noted a decline in food quality and service since the pandemic. Concerns include watery, flavorless items and logistical issues with delivery. However, the friendly staff and affordability are highlighted as strong points, making it a popular destination, despite occasional overcrowding. While some diners express frustration over order-related problems, others attest to its culinary excellence, promising a return visit next week. Overall, Don Alex remains a notable spot in the Peruvian dining scene.

The food was nothing special and the atmosphere was too relaxed. The restaurant has lost a lot its luster since before the pandemic. Besides how much can you really do with chicken?
I have never eaten in this place, but when I ordered my food to-go, the place flet so tightly packed and crowded. The rotisserie chicken was so dry and the beans had an awful odor as if it had been left out for too long. Honestly, I don't recommend thisplace at all if you want value from your buck; try the joint Pollo Peruano a few blocks down, the price is a bit higher but atleast the food isn't unpleasant to taste or smell.
Food has changed not a Peruvian ceviche nasty went there but miss what it use to be hoping they will hear out the customers the cuisine change no doubt not going there for ceviche anymore the criollo salsa was passed due spoilers alert the best part wasruined : guess it?s time to look for Peruvian restaurant with Peruvian cooks ?????????????
