We stayed at the attached Hotel Royal William and free continental breakfast was provided but we opted to pay a bit more for a hot breakfast and has excellent omelettes each day. Good portions and very filling with lots of fresh veggies. Patricia was an...excellent and friendly sever! What Graham Tillman doesn't like about Queue De Veau:
Granted we were there early, it was only 6 pm, but there was no one else in the restaurant. And I guess they weren't expecting a lot of traffic because there was only 1 waiter. There are plenty of choices on the menu for all...tastes. The tartare was ok (2 of us had different tartares and it was neither excellent nor awful, just ok) View all feedback.
We came back for breakfast a second time although we decided to try different locations. The restaurant is clean and was walking distance from our hotel. The food was great and the service friendly and efficient. Will definitely recommend.
We are in Québec City for three days and found this little pearl just around the corner from the Hotel...a quaint little restaurant where the majority of the menu is about raw food...yes tartare...a technique and approach to food that we do not see in...Southern Ontario where we reside...I had the beef carpacio for my appetizer, thinly sliced raw beef with a mustard grain sauce...very tasty...my wife had the escargot au gratin...the only disappointment...although the escargots were tasty it could have been warmer temperature wise...it was also smothered in cheese...for the main course my wife had the veal tartare and i had the beef tartare...both well prepared and seasoned...amd it tasted very fresh...we split a vanilla crème brulée for desert...overall we were pleased with the quality of the food, friendly service qnd atmosphere.

This is the restaurant that is attached to the Royal Willam Hotel. It is always busy in the afternoon and evening, however we only ate here at breakfast time. The service was quick and the food was good and not expensive. They use homemade bread...for their French toast and their toast and the eggs were always done to perfection. They also have an option for a continental breakfast if you’re not too hungry. The lunch and dinner menu looked good but we didn’t ever eat there so I can’t comment on it. With every breakfast they offer free coffee and juice which is a nice touch. A good option for breakfast.
Use this restaurant for breakfast with the hotel it is attached to. Food is ok. Not excellent but very passible. A little pricey. Service was very good and when we had an issue with a breakfast we received a new plate of food.
