Unfortunately, the actual food was not impressive. Most dishes tasted the same and it was very sweet and salty across the board, lacking individual flavor and flare. They give you complimentary wonton chips with sweet and sour dipping sauce. They have reasonably priced lunch specials that come with a soup, an egg roll and either steamed or fried rice. My favorite is the sesame chicken. I have also tried the cashew chicken and the general Tso’s chicken and those are both good too. Food: 5

I have been ordering this dish ever since the restaurant was called Lily’s many many years ago that opened in the river Woods. Shoots then opened after Lily’s closed and salt and pepper Chicken has been my very favorite dish on the menu for 20+ years. However, tonight I am sending a review that I am so disappointed in the flavor of this dish. There is some kind of seasoning that has been added to it. That is a flavor that does not taste good. I have always enjoyed the saltiness and the pepper of this dish, but they have added some kind of weird seasoning to it since I ordered it a few months ago. I will no longer be ordering from Shoots because of this. I don’t think it is right that they change the seasoning of a dish that they have carried for so long. I am very, very disappointed that this restaurant would do such a thing and ruin a very special and different dish with a horrible kind of seasoning that just completely ruined the flavor. I would like to ask for my money back because it has been a very disappointing Evening when I tasted it, I am not happy about it.

If you are looking for a great atmosphere and delicious food, I would highly recommend.

This is a sit dow... read more I don’t understand the recent low ratings. If they want quantity over quality, then go to Panda Express or some other fast food Chinese place. This is a sit down restaurant…of course prices will be higher than fast food. Shoots serves family stylesized portions where you order a few entrees for a family and everyone shares. So far they are the best tasting Chinese foodI’ve found in Utah County. Their tangerine chicken and Mongolian beef are amazing, and the chow mein is truly delightful.I’ve had two of their soups, both of which were really good. I’ve had several other entrees, all of which were great. I’vebeen a repeat customer and will continue to come whenever I want better quality than something like Panda Express.
