Black Sheep Cafe has quite a few vegetarian options. Though the menu says some vegetarian options can be made vegan, vegan options are limited and the staff doesn't know hardly anything about vegan diets. The portobello burger wasn't good at all and was served between two tortillas with no sauce. The Navajo taco was pretty good, and the cactus pear lemonade is delicious. The staff seems to know little about vegan diets and wasn't sure what was and wasn't vegan. They went to ask the staff multiple times about different things.

Eating here is delicious, the ambiente is elegant and the staff is very friendly. from the menu it looked like there were barely vegan food for dinner, except for a few salads. if I had not read the other reviews on happy cow, I would not have asked for other options. in the ideal case, a restaurant should have their vegan items listed clearly on the menu - otherwise there is always the risk that when they arrive, they will say oh, we do not serve vegan items

I was a disappointed that there weren't many vegetarian options. They weren't listed on the menu at all I had to get up to ask the hostess and she just told me what they were: 1) zucchini/squash or cheese enchiladas, and 2) meatless Navajo taco. Apparently the portobello burger is only offered for lunch. That being said, the food was AMAZING. It was pricey the zucchini/squash enchiladas were the same price as their meaty counterparts but it was some of the best food I've had in Utah Valley. The sauce on the enchiladas was divine, the cilantro rice was heavenly, and the refried beans were very tasty (although I could have done with a little less cheese). I might have to go back to check out the Navajo tacos someday.

Great food and awesome service. It isn’t cheap but it is delicious. Our server was fast and friendly. Portion sizes were generous and the drinks were great. We will be back again to try out the rest of the menu that we couldn’t have because it alllooked and sounded so good.

Very good food. Southwest food flare with emphasis on Navajo fry bread meals. Good pork, beef and chicken options. The sweet potato fries are off the chart. Try the street corn.
