I love dining at Bear Claw Cabin, which is situated at the top of Sundance Ski Resort, mainly because of the breathtaking views. The service is outstanding, and the prices are quite fair given the stunning mountain location. Today, I savored a $10 Frito bowl and a $4 hot cocoa. The menu primarily offers Mexican dishes and chili, or a mix of both. Additionally, there's an enticing bakery basket on the counter filled with large cookies and brownies. Dining at Bear Claw can be a delightful experience, or it might give you quite the sugar rush!
Stunning views and tasty nachos! However, the restroom options are quite limited.
This was our favorite day in Salt Lake City. The ski lift ride is completely exposed to the sun, so be sure to bring sunscreen (I regret not having any). The ascent takes about 20 minutes. Once you reach the top, the views are simply stunning. My wife and I savored some beer paired with chips and guacamole, and it was absolutely delicious. We spent hours soaking up the atmosphere up there. We can't wait to return on our next visit!
Just stopped for a snack at the summit. The nachos are huge, but the wine servings are quite small. The views of Utah Lake Valley and Deer Creek Reservoir were beautiful, though a bit hazy from smoke when we visited. The chair lift ride up and down is slow but very scenic and enjoyable. If you’re afraid of heights, make sure to lower the front safety bar! It’s a great spot for a fall afternoon. Lift tickets are included with the price of a room or cabin, and there’s also exciting mountain biking available.
Very fun place to take family from out of town. The workers here are incredible and will help make your visit one to remember. I would recommend this place to anyone! There are hikes on the way up that are fun and challenging but not necessary to reach the cabin. Pro tip, if you come with your family of 4, you'll get a discount on the ski lift tickets!
