Scarlets - Providence
Scarlets
Description
A casual neighborhood spot celebrated for standout mofongo, flavorful Puerto Rican classics and friendly, accommodating owners. Prices are budget-friendly and many praise the authentic taste and helpful service. However, kitchen inconsistency has left some dishes dry or oddly seasoned, advertised Cuban sandwiches are not reliably available, and the dining room can be uncomfortably warm without air conditioning. Still, its value, takeout convenience and loyal following make it a worthwhile stop for Latin-food lovers seeking hearty, affordable meals.

This is what they serve me !!! The Chinese Restaurant makes it better then them...chicharron tostones
Have you ever taken bites out of food and try to guess what it tastes like because it is not what it normally tastes like? I have eaten Sancocho all my life and this one just tasted different. My boyfriend says it tastes burnt but I tasted something else. First of all I never had ham and beef. Beef tastes like it was soaked in lime so it had a citrus type taste. Just odd.... I started off as a 1 star but decided to give it a 2 because I did not die of explosion.
