Not my kind of place. Bar /tavern side had shrieking, raucous customers on a day when no one around. Really a tasting menu, teeny plates, teeny portions, poor value. Waitress told me that the green peppers in my mussel soup were mild- they were not and had to spit out with my mouth on fire. Truly embarassing when I was being treated. If a restaurant makes a mistake, and sometimes they will, as they can correct the situation, determine whether a parade is operating back to this or not. or in my case, if the reviewer will recommend others, say restaurant. thanks to the efforts of our server jacqueline (which was phenomenal all night) and their managers allison, waterman grille is a very good company that sincerely takes care of their customers. my wife and I had arranged the crabcake appetizer to split in front of our main course, but we noticed after everyone bit that the middle of each crabcake was cold. we mentioned jackie who was really sorry and took away our tellers. her manager Allison...read more

Lousy service. the beautiful view of the water is a bad depreciation to get the unfriendly and badly trained staff. there are many places in providence to get good eggs nick’s on broadway or the edge for more casual food to name a few. jump over the waterman grille and look for a more cozy facility.
Go to Nick's on Broadway instead. We arrived at 10:15 and inquired whether they were open before the disabled member of our party got out of the vehicle. They said they were but we when we got inside they told us the kitchen wasn't open until 10:30, which would be fine except they said we could not sit down until then. They wanted us, including the person in our party who is in a cast, to stand for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant because it was policy! We finally had to leave because she couldn't stand any longer. We spoke to the manager who was incredibly rude, never apologized nor offered our friend in a cast a seat. We went to Nick's on Broadway and had a great meal and great service.
