Delightful and delicious! I've been living in Texas for nearly decade but tonight's BBQ brisket, after an evening at Trinity Rep, was beyond expectations! The menu changes after 10 p.m. We arrived at 10:05 p.m. I'll have to return to try the regularmenu offerings. Though the menu was limited, the flavor was not. Comfort food with extra comfort! The late evening menuplatters come with a choice of meats with corn bread, pickles and Mac Cheese. A clever mix of textures and tastes thatcomplemented each other quite nicely. As an added bonus, the music mix was spot on with something for everyone. The servicewas prompt, friendly and attentive. The kitchen is spotless. Prices were quite reasonable. No deficiencies noted.
I know it isn't Durk's fault necessarily, but I have to take a star away just due to the parking situation. It is downtown Providence and parking is atrocious especially when there is a Bruins game. Once you get inside though, everything gets muchbetter. The bar is well stocked with whatever you could need. They have a great selection of beer and liquor. The BBQ is alsotough to beat. It makes you feel like you're not in RI anymore. The prices are also great. Go give em a try! Update: came backmonths later and still very happy with the food. The bathroom or banos as they're called here could use some more attentionthough. Check out the next level door handle though.
We had a nice experience on a Sunday night after a visit to Dunkin Center (which is probably a good option for parking nearby). We had the ribs, brisket, pork belly, chicken, mac and cheese and a corn dog. Everything was delicious and the porkbelly and especially the ribs melted in my mouth! I only wish the portions were a little bigger. But this is truly excellentBBQ, well worth saving up for.
I enjoy the food here a lot. Coming here earlier, you get the fresher picks. The bbq sauces are delicious, and the meats are well prepared.Food: 5/5
