Boma Cafe makes a great beef burger. Staff is great, so is the coffee. Management lady just a bit strict-speaking when she asks you if you've been served. But a good job altogether View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Café Boma:
The ambience is nice, with a big covered outdoor seating area, and the iced coffee and breakfast dishes were fine, but there were almost no vegetarian items (such as a basic spinach and feta tramezzini) on the menu. The kitchen said it couldn't provide one. This is not good enough today. View all feedback.
Had lunch here on Sunday with the family. Extremely cheap steaks that taste amazing! The average steak is about R60 excluding side dishes. <br/ <br/ I had a sirloin steak with veggies and 'pampoenkoekies ' the veggies were drenched in white sauce and very sweet. The steak was also drenched in sauce I could barely taste the meat! The 'pampoenkoekies ' were really big and tasted amazing! <br/ <br/ My brother had the burger, which looked fantastic. Big portions and the chips were also really good. My Boyfriend had the rib and chips basket. The ribs were very fatty, but the meat on the ribs were very tasty!<br/ <br/ The service was excellent! Our waiter, Tshepo, always checked on us and made sure we were happy. <br/ <br/ Will definitely be back due to reasonable prices and good service!
I had the Lamb Curry which was divine. The servers are friendly. The place is clean. I would come again.
Café Boma is the latest venture from the renowned Boma Vleismark, which is famous in this area for having the best meat in Pretoria—a claim backed by its National Cleaver Award. On a personal note, Boma Vleismark is the only butcher we trust for our meats, as they have never let us down, and I highly recommend them! With such a strong reputation in the meat industry, I couldn't resist trying at least one of their meaty dishes on my first visit. The Boma Breakfast is particularly well-known, and with good reason! It consists of 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, grilled tomatoes, and toast. You can also customize it with various add-ons, including a 200g steak, original Boerewors, mutton sausage, cheese griller, pork banger, pap kaiings, and fried mushrooms—the options are endless. The Boma Breakfast is the ultimate fry-up, and my dad even orders it for lunch sometimes, which they happily accommodate! We also decided to share two salads, thinking we could take home any leftovers for lunch: - Biltong Salad: A mix of salad greens, avocado, feta cheese, and sliced biltong, dressed with honey and mustard. - Chicken Avocado Salad: Tender chicken strips with roasted tomatoes, avocado, and red pesto. I was impressed with the portion sizes, and with reasonable prices to match, Café Boma is definitely a hidden gem! I will be back soon. *Recommendation: This is the perfect spot for discerning meat lovers, and with their exceptional quality meats, you can't go wrong with any meaty dish. I plan to return soon for one of their steaks! For more updates, you can find me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter: LaurasWorldza.
This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, delicious food at excellent prices, and friendly staff, plus live acoustic music! I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a warm and comforting dining experience.
We had our usual monthly breakfast at Cafe Boma in Moreleta Park, a somewhat lesser-known restaurant that provided a surprisingly pleasant first experience. The venue was clean and spacious, with friendly service and welcoming staff. The breakfast was extremely affordable and tasted fantastic. I ordered the Boma breakfast, adding pap and kaiings, and overall, it was a delightful experience with delicious food.
