We chose dishes from the specials menu and began our lunch with the Fig and Goat's Cheese Tart. It quickly became a new favorite, delighting our taste buds. Next, we enjoyed the Rigatoni Carbonara and New Kid Pizza. Both were quite filling, and we debated whether we'd have room for dessert, but who can resist Chocolate Fudge Pudding, especially with peanut butter ice cream? This restaurant offers a charming and welcoming atmosphere, providing a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a must-visit!

The warm and inviting atmosphere instantly reminded us of our recent trip to the Cape Winelands, and it felt absolutely blissful. We arrived right when the doors opened and quickly realized how fortunate we were to snag a table without a reservation — definitely something to remember for our next visit. The wine list, while concise, is impressive, and we immediately spotted some of our personal favorites. Expect hearty country-style comfort food that is not only delicious but also beautifully prepared and presented. I chose the wild mushroom risotto, and let me tell you, it was divine! Accompanied by asparagus and chickpea fritters, it was a flavorful and filling dish. The portion size was generous (in my opinion, quite large), and I polished off every last bite. My husband ordered the Italia pizza with added anchovies, which was a visual feast. I refrained from tasting it, but he thoroughly enjoyed it — perhaps I'll try some next time! I recently discovered that the legendary Chef Pellie Grobler is in charge of this establishment, and the quality of the dishes truly reflects his expertise. He continues his mission to transform Pretoria one meal at a time — fantastic work! We will definitely be returning, as there were plenty of enticing dishes on the menu that will be on my mind until then! And of course, I can't stop thinking about that wild mushroom risotto.

Have visited many times. Great food. Great wine. Good and friendly service. Relaxing outdoor setting. Ambience is awesome. Always a winner, for us!

The food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. The waitstaff were friendly, and the setting was lovely. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! I will definitely return for another visit. The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained.

We went there today for our anniversary and at first i thought, a café mmm it's not going to be so wow and fancy (and i like fancy). But to my surprise this place was warm, inviting and not a café at all. The food was outstanding. The waiter forgot about us a few times, but we had good wine and good food and what more do you need.Let's say that i was so into the food i forgot to take pictures haha. We had the calamari stuffed with prawn for starter, duck for main.
