I visit Big Bear Deli 2-4 times a year since I live in Spokane and it's a bit of a drive. It used to be amazing and delicious, with very friendly owners. I always come specifically for the Shrimp Po’ Boy special on Fridays. Unfortunately, my recent visit was disappointing. The service was just okay. I ordered one sandwich to go and one to eat in, but both were packed in a to-go bag. I also had to ask for a pickle with the sandwich I was eating there. Additionally, the new owners have removed the bread pudding from the special, which really took away from the overall experience. This visit didn’t meet the high standards I’ve come to expect over the years. The mix-ups and lack of bread pudding put a damper on my meal. If I return, I hope things improve.

I ordered the pastrami c... read more I recently visited Big Bear Deli for the first time, and I can confidently say I’ll never return to overpriced Subway sandwiches again. I ordered the pastrami cheddar jack on marble rye, while my nephew chose the same sandwich on a sourdough baguette. I ended up taking half of mine home, and that half must have weighed over a pound! It came with a light spread of mayo and honey mustard, plus lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and pepperoncini peppers. The pastrami was sliced generously at about 1/8 inch thick, and the flavor was absolutely amazing! I left feeling completely satisfied and will definitely be back. After being a loyal Subway customer for 45 years, Big Bear Deli has truly won me over. If you’re seeking delicious, incredibly fresh, and generously stuffed sandwiches, this is the place to go. Their menu also includes soups and a variety of other delicious options. I am thoroughly impressed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
