Roaches! The manager is incredibly toxic and rude, constantly yelling at employees who are doing their best in a tough environment. I even saw someone tip the staff $20 out of sympathy when I picked up a to-go order. It's hard to imagine how the team can maintain a positive attitude to greet customers given these conditions. Most of the reviews about rude employees likely stem from management destroying the team's morale. As someone who is passionate about the food service industry and exceptional customer service—even when dealing with an angry boss—I know that it's nearly impossible to smile in that kind of situation. Back-end issues should never be this evident to customers. It's not fair to expect low-wage employees to cover for management or to just hide the problems better. Those who are paid so little deserve to have a supportive boss and a work environment that fosters gratitude. It's not the team's fault if they're feeling down in a situation like this; they're just trying to get through each day with less yelling. The manager's behavior is not managing; it’s more like an immature tantrum in place of actual leadership and problem-solving skills. I stopped coming here because I've heard the turnover is high, largely because the owners have refused to fire her for years. She needs to grow up, and the owner needs to find the courage to replace her. Whatever you’re paying management, it's clearly too much for such unprofessional behavior. On a positive note, they do offer oat, soy, coconut, and almond milk, so there are good dairy-free options. However, that doesn't matter if they can't even get your order right. Nothing can make up for this kind of poor management.
We ordered two medium drinks—one hot and one cold. I noticed that my hot drink was only half full before leaving the drive-thru, so I asked the staff to fill it up. The guy said he would top it off, but when he returned, it was still only half full. I didn’t want to send it back again due to concerns about contamination. Additionally, my hot coffee was noticeably shorter than the cold coffee. The total for the drinks was over $14. I even took photos of the drinks at the drive-thru as proof. I will NEVER return to this establishment. The manager was also involved in the refill situation and was not helpful. On top of that, our cold coffee was filled three inches below the rim.
Friendly Staff and one of the CLEANEST fastfood franchises I've EVER been in! First time at Tim Hortons and I will ? be returning over and over again!
