We had booked ahead and when we arrived the person that greeted us and showed us to our table was friendly enough. But the waiter who served us, well! Older tal... read more We had booked ahead and when we arrived the person that greeted us and showed us to our table was friendly enough. But the waiter who served us, well! Older taller chap, whose eyes shone indignation, and his eyebrows fury. He slammed the cutlery down and snatched the menus after we had ordered and he scribbled down our choices with such force that I expect the order went through several layers. He came with the rose we had ordered (very pleasant btw and slammed the glasses down too. He proceeded to open the bottle with a cork screw and as much violence as he could muster. The corkscrew flew over the low wall and a nice chap on the pavement handed it back to him. Grabbing it from his hand, no acknowledgement or thank you was proffered. And so it continued. 5 minutes later he was all smiles and joviality with a nice Spanish family. I don’t know if our crime was that we were British or merely foreigners, but the whole episode was farcical and really very entertaining. The pizza was good and the goats cheese salad delicious. We plan to go back one day ;
