What Bill H doesn't like about Beach Diner:
I'd really say 3.5 stars. Make sure to approach from Cincinnati Ave, which is a one-way street, to enter the diner's back parking lot. Otherwise, parking can be tough on busy Arnold Ave in summer/tourist season. The food was okay, but service wasn't good. The waitress was very slow in checking in with us, empty glasses sat for quite a while, even though it wasn't that busy. The staff were mostly huddled together talk... View all feedback.
Not sure what you were told, but we were never notified of a prep ticket that was not printed. All the staff disappeared at one point and my girlfriend and I were extremely confused. If the prep ticket did not print in time, how come my burger was already done? Seems like an excuse and I will not be back. Today my girlfriend and I were planning on grabbing a quick bite to eat before our train was scheduled to arrive. I went to the Beach Diner being that it is directly in front of Point Pleasant Beach Station and the diner was not busy. My girlfriend and I sat at a booth, ordered drinks, and got our order take; our order was a black bean burger and a Jersey burger which is simple enough. While waiting, waitresses began to leave with big bags of food. Twenty... Almost thirty minutes passed by and my girlfriend and I were beginning to become impatient because we were the only ones in the diner and we did not order anything too complicated. After sitting for over thirty minutes, the waitress informs us that they had no black beans. We placed the order thirty minutes prior... and she came out just now to tell us? We were the only ones in the diner! Anyway, we paid for the drinks and left and I do not plan on coming back. We proceeded to go to the tiny bagel place on the next block and got our burgers in less than 10 minutes!
Came here for a birthday breakfast, ordered the stuffed French toast with bananas and Nutella and it was loaded! Tasty and satisfying!

Such a nostalgic place, so nice and quaint. The food is always hot and fresh and if there isn't anything on the menu you like ask for it they will be more than happy to make it for you. Terry was our waitress for the duration of our stay and she was amazing, super friendly and service was quick. Prices are also very reasonable I almost felt like I was robbing them the prices were so low but the quantity and quality was excellent! I'll be back next summer and the next and the next because of the excellent service. :Update... I met the owner for the first time and she was not only beautiful but super friendly and she asked me if I was Annie but I think I miss understood and she was actually looking for me Andy, lol . This place is a gold mine, food, service and just the over all atmosphere was such a pleasure to be there. I'm going to miss this place but we'll be back next summer for sure!

The waitress was very slow in checking in with us, empty glasses sat for quite a while, even though it wasn't that busy. The staff were mostly huddled together talking with each other and one or two local yokels. A woman sitting near us had to send her fish back because it was bad. The waitress agreed and apologized, so be careful there. Food was okay, typical diner fare.
