Contribute FeedbackThe reviews for The Poached Pear restaurant are mixed. Some diners rave about the great menu, quality of food, and excellent service. However, others complain about overpriced dishes, inconsistent food quality, and awkward table arrangements. While some patrons praise the friendly and knowledgeable staff, others are put off by the noise levels and crowded seating. Overall, opinions vary on the dining experience at The Poached Pear, with some vowing to return for special occasions and others deciding not to come back due to the high prices and other issues.
The food service at this restaurant was excellent! We began with the Grilled hearts of romaine, which was a meal in itself. The combination of sundried tomatoes and candied walnuts was delicious. The Diver scallops over risotto were cooked perfectly, and the Ahi Tuna with soba noodles was a treat. With so many delicious options on the menu, it can be hard to decide on just one dinner selection!
Our server seemed disinterested and rushed. He quickly listed the specials and then disappeared. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, the potatoes were cold and the salmon was undercooked, despite my husband's request for it to be well done. Our wine glasses and my husband's Perrier were left empty throughout the meal. For the price we paid, we expected better service.
Posched Pear is my favorite restaurant. The menu offers something for every one and the specials are always tempting. Service is professional, friendly but not intrusive. It’s a very special restaurant and our go to place for special occasions.
Delicious food served by an attentive staff. I highly recommend.
Food not great and way overpriced.15.00 for onion soup and 58.00 for 3 lamb chops? Come on now.Menu never changes.Women at next table was on speaker phone for at least 5 minutes and no one in charge said a word to her. It’s not my job to tell her how annoying she was. Will not be going back.
