3.9 / 5 (227 reviews)

Description

Ya Fei offers a mixed dining experience with Asian-inspired dishes that often delight repeat customers, especially fans of sushi, seafood martinis, and flavorful entrees like garlic beef and Hunan chicken. The staff is generally friendly and efficient, contributing to smooth service whether dining in or ordering takeout. However, some patrons find the pricing steep relative to the food quality, which leans toward mainstream American tastes rather than authentic or high-end Asian cuisine. While many enjoy the menu variety and quick service, occasional issues with server attentiveness and value suggest a visit may depend on personal expectations and budget.

I've never had a disappointing meal at Ya Fei. We love getting takeout from here, and the online ordering process is super easy. Dining in is also a great experience. I typically order sushi along with one of their main dishes. The garlic beef and Singapore street noodles are two of my favorites, although I haven't tried everything on the menu... yet!

Overpriced without a good reason. The experience didn't live up to the steep prices. The server kept watching me from a distance, which made me uncomfortable while I was trying to enjoy my meal. Additionally, he wasn't very friendly and leaned over my food too much when refilling my drink.

I was hoping for a high-end Asian dining experience, but it ended up being just a bit better than average takeout, and probably not as good as P.F. Changs. If the prices were comparable to typical takeout, I would rate it four and a half stars. However, the high price point really affects my overall rating, so I would give it three stars for its value and experience.

I love this place! The prices are reasonable, the service is fast, and the staff are very friendly. We started with the Seafood Martini—tuna, salmon, whitefish, and cucumber served with wasabi lime juice in a martini glass—and even my 9-year-old niece enjoyed it. My boyfriend had the Chicken Teriyaki, which came with sautéed onions, sesame seeds, and rice, and it was delicious. We shared the Wonton Soup for two, filled with baby corn, mushrooms, four wontons, shrimp, chicken, and broccoli. I had the Baked Avocado stuffed with crab and Masato, topped with caviar, which is one of my favorites. We try to visit once a month.

This is a lively spot we enjoy visiting from time to time. The staff is always the same and they're friendly and efficient. On our recent lunch visit, we were seated, ordered, and finished in just 45 minutes, even with some time to look over the menu! The food was delicious—while it tends to cater to mainstream American tastes with a focus on sweeter flavors, it was still very enjoyable. The only downside is that their prices have increased significantly in the past year; we ended up spending nearly $20 per person, which feels steep for lunch.
