I have yet to find a place in the US that serves Belgian waffles as yummy as Waffallonia's. I ALWAYS make time to come here whenever I'm back in Pittsburgh. Very friendly owner as well. Make sure to get the Speculoos (spread or ice cream)! ?

I would say good, but not excellent. The menu is small enough and named after cities in Belgium. I had the Charleroi, which is basically sugar waffles topped with Nutella banana and strawberries. The waffle was pretty good, but I would have liked it a little more crisp and a little more airy as it was quite dense. you can’t really go wrong with the toppings, but I feel like they could have been a little more of the toppings. Overall, if you just want some sweet treat, this is a good place. This is open till 10 PM so you can also grab a late night dessert. The store itself is quite small and there are seatings for maybe about eight or 10 people. Vegetarian options: All vegetarian menu.

Forever thinking about my delicious waffle and ice cream from Waffallonia. We got the scrupulous cookie butter ice cream and Belgian waffle topped with fruit and whipped cream. The line was pretty long and so was the wait for your order, but that’s because only one guy was working behind the counter; he was working super hard though, and being incredibly efficient, so good on him! I split mine with my husband because I thought there was no way I could eat one on my own but honestly wished I had gotten my own since I wanted to keep eating all of it and not share ??

Waffallonia is so much fun! They have a simple menu of warm liège waffles which can be customized with your choice of sweet toppings. They also have preselected topped waffle options. I tried Ghent, a waffle topped with speculoos cookie butter and fresh sliced banana. It was delicious and not overly sweet. The waffle itself was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Bonus they are open late til 10pm every night! Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible.
