Great little venue. Surprisingly bigger than the outside leads you to believe. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Food available. Plenty of restrooms. Good drinks. You can get really close to the musicians. Be careful at metal shows cause it can get crazy. View all feedback.
What Matthew Full Stack Developer Blockchain doesn't like about Thunderbird Café Music Hall:
They have a black and white security guard, the black one working there is rude as hell. I understand that security is important but and they have to be tough but lets be tough to the actual a holes and criminals not everybody. I encourage management to talk to him. Also the white security guard comes out of no where to check your bags, what happened to being in front of the door. Other than that the place is alright... View all feedback.
Crazy that it took me many years to enjoy this place as a music venue as opposed to another albeit inviting) bar in Lawrenceville. I went to see Willi Carlisle on a Wednesday night I still can't believe this guy is performing for less than 30 bucks) and I really enjoyed the relaxed and overall inviting venue. The space was open and didn't feel cramped while providing an almost modern rathskellar like aesthetic, the drink and food options were easy accessible, and the acoustics worked for the show. That's basically all you can ask for in a venue in Pittsburgh, and I hope to get back here for more shows in the future.
Not a very ideal venue for a concert, poorly laid out and sub-par acoustics.
Wowie wow what a venue. Great basement bar with a nice selection of stickers in the commode.
Excellent show tonight. Boys from #lowgap killed it. Perfect intimate venue.
Always a good time. Fabulous sound, great staff, and I feel safe in the area. There’s larger shows on the main stage and smaller shows, often without a cover fee, on the front stage.
