My wife and I absolutely enjoyed the food at The Flame Barbeque. The spare ribs and pulled pork were some of the best we’ve ever tasted, and their homemade BBQ sauce was fantastic. This was at The Flame on Babcock Blvd., and I can also vouch for their excellent catering service. It seems the other location in Cranberry offers a less consistent menu compared to this one.
I placed a catering order from The Flame Barbeque, but the pulled pork and chicken were overly soggy. The pasta salad was mediocre, and the mac and cheese was decent. I’m choosing my words carefully—it definitely fell short of expectations.
The gentleman at the restaurant was very nice and offered helpful suggestions about the food. I ordered the ribs and brisket, along with mac and cheese and greens. Unfortunately, the ribs seemed reheated and tough, although they were still decent when paired with the hot barbecue sauce. The brisket was extremely thin and resembled deli meat, while the greens were clearly from a can, which I believe is unacceptable. The mac and cheese was quite basic—not at all what you'd expect from a family cookout. My girlfriend ordered the chicken leg, which was also reheated and dry, and the potato salad tasted overwhelmingly of mayonnaise. Come on, everyone—can we not find any good BBQ in Pittsburgh anymore?
I ordered pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, and a salad for a small wedding reception I was hosting at home. Our order was ready for pickup on time, and everything was correct, including the serving utensils. When we opened the food, it was hot and absolutely delicious! My guests were thrilled with it. They don’t hold back on the BBQ sauce or salad dressings, either. We will definitely order from them again for our next gathering!
I've tried the pulled pork sandwiches at the Ross Township fair before, and they were fantastic. However, every time I pass by the Babcock location and consider stopping for one, the place is closed. There's an open sign in the window, but nobody seems to be there. Have you gone out of business?
